Another Check of the County's Ponds ~ August 18, 2024

"Stop 1" was at the Northwood Avenue 'east' retention pond. There were 2 Wood Ducks there, but the Great Egret was not.

"Stop 2" was at the nearby Hollo Road retention pond. Three Lesser Yellowlegs, a Solitary Sandpiper, and 5 Least Sandpipers were found there.

"Stop 3" was at a new spot that I've recently begun to check out, which is a retention pond along Gun Club Road in Upper Nazareth Township. There was a Wood Duck there among the Canada Geese.
A group of swallows around the pond included 2 Cliff Swallows, a Bank Swallow, and several Tree and Barn Swallows.

"Stop 4" was at the Regency Boulevard retention ponds. The south pond held the continuing Hooded Merganser, a Wood Duck, 2 Green Herons, a Great Blue Heron, and a Solitary Sandpiper.

"Stop 5" was the Green Pond area where I found 7 Green Herons (6 in the pond along Farmersville Road and one at Green Pond itself), a Great Egret, a Spotted Sandpiper, 2 Eastern Kingbirds, and about 15 Brown-headed Cowbirds among about 40 European Starlings.
