St. Luke's Anderson, Green Pond, and Hollo Road ~ October 15, 2024

I happened to notice the first two Dark-eyed Juncos for my yard this season at my little waterfall.
I drove over to the area behind the St. Luke's Anderson Campus. About a hundred Fish Crows were seen heading for the Bethlehem landfill.
The weedy area just to the southeast of the pond produced 7 Savannah Sparrows, 5 Chipping Sparrows, 3 Field Sparrows, and a Swamp Sparrow.

There were also 2 Palm Warblers present along with 32 American Goldfinches and 3 Brown-headed Cowbirds.

From there, I headed over to Green Pond. The retention pond across the road from the pond held a Gadwall, 3 American Black Ducks, a Green-winged Teal, and a Killdeer.

The dried-up flooded field area produced 9 Palm Warblers, 6 Tree Swallows, 9 Song Sparrows, 6 White-throated Sparrows, and 3 Savannah Sparrows.
Over at Green Pond, a Great Egret was feeding at the far west end.
My last stop was at the Hollo Road retention pond to see if the Least Sandpiper was still there, and it was.
