Regency Boulevard and Green Pond again ~ August 12, 2022

I made a late day check of the Regency Boulevard retention ponds and found a pretty pale-shaded Semipalmated Plover.

Some of the common shorebirds were also seen there. These included Lesser Yellowlegs, Least Sandpiper, and of course, Killdeer.
The other notable birds, the Pied-billed Grebe, the Blue-winged Teal, and the Hooded Merganser continued in their favored spots. It appears that the male Ruddy Duck has finally moved on after staying in the north pond since May 30th.
Numbers of swallows and Chimney Swifts were zipping overhead and around the pond, including around 40 Bank Swallows.

On the way back home, I drove by Green Pond and saw a Great Egret in the Green Pond Road retention pond.
