I was at a family gathering all afternoon and learned pretty late in the day that Mike Schall had found a Red-necked Phalarope at the Regency Boulevard retention ponds. I headed over there with sunset fast approaching. I quickly scanned the north pond and eventually found the bird right at sunset. I got these photos of it in the failing light.
On the way back home, I drove by Green Pond and, like yesterday, saw a Great Egret. This time it was perched in a snag at the actual pond along with a Great Blue, but it was too dark to even try getting a photo.
