I stopped at Green Pond around 7:30 PM and found one each of Spotted, Solitary, and Least Sandpipers, 2 Green Herons, and 2 Great Egrets, but the highlight here was the roughly 170 Northern Rough-winged Swallows lining the wires by the pond.
I then drove over to the Regency Boulevard ponds. The best bird there was a Hooded Merganser in the south pond.
Near sunset, I headed over to the Crayola warehouse near Hellertown where I used to work the afternoon shift. Occasionally when we would leave work, I'd hear and sometimes see Common Nighthawks flying around the parking lot lights. I stopped there and watched and listened for nighthawks but only found 3 Killdeer instead.
