The Newburg Road retention pond's level was very high from the overnight thunderstorms, so there was nothing of note there, but the adjacent grass field held 21 Killdeer and 4 Horned Larks.

Horned Larks at Newburg Road ~ August 3, 2026
After eating out, I made an early evening check of Green Pond, which held nine continuing Snow Geese, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, a Green Heron, 3 Chimney Swifts, 2 Eastern Kingbirds, and 15 Barn Swallows.
The Newburg Road retention pond's level was very high from the overnight thunderstorms, so there was nothing of note there, but the adjacent grass field held 21 Killdeer and 4 Horned Larks.
