I led a bird walk at Woodland Hills in the morning. There weren't a lot of migrants, but we did manage to find some interesting birds. Five Red-breasted Nuthatches were seen along the Blue Trail.
Other notables included Osprey, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Red-eyed Vireo, Brown Thrasher, Field Sparrow, Eastern Towhee, Magnolia Warbler, Scarlet Tanager, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak. We ended up with 32 species.
After the walk, I drove over to the Newburg Road retention pond where I spotted a couple Horned Larks among 17 Killdeer.
A check of the nearby Hollo Road retention pond continued to hold a Semipalmated Plover. Also there were a Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, and a Least Sandpiper. The lighting was terrible for getting photos of the plover.
