Horned Lark Numbers Growing at the Newburg Road Pond ~ September 1, 2022
In the early evening, I returned to the Newburg Road retention pond. The adjacent fields held 26 Killdeer, but the large count of 43 Horned Larks was a real surprise.
I hung around until dusk, hoping for a sighting of a Common Nighthawk, but that didn't happen.
