Newburg Road Retention Pond ~ August 18, 2026

My stop at the Newburg Road retention pond produced 18 Killdeer, a Great Blue Heron, an Eastern Kingbird, and a 'fly-by' Osprey.

However, the most interesting find there was a Coyote that was roaming through the grassy field behind the hospital.

Over at Green Pond, I found 7 Snow Geese, a Double-crested Cormorant, a Great Blue Heron, an immature Red-tailed Hawk, 2 Northern Flickers, 2 Eastern Phoebes, 3 Eastern Kingbirds, 2 Gray Catbirds, 2 American Goldfinches, and 3 Chipping Sparrows.
