I went back to Green Pond to see if the White-rumped Sandpiper was still around. I was searching the edge of the Green Pond Road pond when I saw two Killdeer and a smaller bird fly across the pond. It was the White-rumped! I sent out another text to other birders who might be still interested in it and then got some pretty nice photos of it.
I also got some photos of the distinctive white rump as it flew around.
A Great Blue Heron was in the Farmersville Road pond. The Great Egret was nowhere to be found, so it probably moved on. The American Black Duck was sleeping on the shore of the back middle pond along with some Mallards.
Birds along the paved path included an Eastern Bluebird, 3 Dark-eyed Juncos, 8 White-throated Sparrows, 5 Song Sparrows, 2 Chipping Sparrows, and a Swamp Sparrow.
