The Newburg Road retention pond only held 5 Killdeer among around 400 Canada Geese. A Red-tailed Hawk was perched on one of the wires along Newburg Road.
The Hollo Road pond held 17 Green-winged Teal and an American Black Duck.
At the adjacent Shoeneck Creek, I found a Blue-headed Vireo, 3 Carolina Wrens, 5 Cedar Waxwings, 5 White-throated Sparrows, and 2 Lincoln's Sparrows.
Now well into October, I decided to check out the Nazareth Quarry to see what waterfowl might be there. It was a worthwhile check. I found 10 Ring-necked Ducks, 6 Ruddy Ducks, 3 American Coots, and a Double-crested Cormorant among 2500 Canada Geese.
My last stop was the Green Pond area. The 2 Great Egrets were in the Green Pond Road pond along with 3 Green-winged Teal.
A Great Blue Heron was at the back of Green Pond, and 2 Eastern Bluebirds were along the paved path.
