Once again, I checked out the local ponds. Green Pond continued to hold the 2 Great Egrets. The two ponds along the paved path held a Green Heron and the Solitary Sandpiper, plus 10 Northern Rough-winged Swallows flew by.
Landbirds along the path included 2 Eastern Phoebes, two young Eastern Bluebirds, and 3 Palm Warblers.
Ten Turkey Vultures were lined up on the fence surrounding the Newburg Road retention pond.
At the pond were a Green Heron, a Great Blue Heron, and 3 Killdeer.
The Hollo Road pond held 6 Green-winged Teal and 4 Killdeer.
The last stop was at the Tatamy Exit retention pond, which produced 8 Lesser Yellowlegs, 19 Least Sandpipers, 4 Pectoral Sandpipers, and 8 Killdeer.
The Lesser Yellowlegs with the injured right leg was one of those.
