I checked out the Tatamy Exit retention pond before 8:00 AM to see if the Stilt Sandpiper was still there. It wasn't, but I did see 3 Semipalmated Plovers, a Lesser Yellowlegs, 4 Least Sandpipers, 5 Killdeer, and a Green Heron.
One the way there, the Hollo Road retention pond held a Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Solitary Sandpipers, 8 Least Sandpipers, and an American Goldfinch.
My next stop was Green Pond. I walked the paved path and found the continuing immature Little Blue Heron in the Farmersville Road pond.
A Green Heron flew in by the Little Blue and began sparring with it. It was one of three found around the pond.
The Little Blue was obviously bigger and won that small battle and continued feeding.
In the back middle pond, the next one down the path, there were 3 Great Egrets and 9 more Green Herons.
At one point, the Little Blue and one of the Great Egrets were perched on the same fence between the ponds.
Later, a Green Heron did the same thing with the Little Blue.
Also present were 2 Great Blue Herons, a Killdeer, a Spotted Sandpiper, a Cooper's Hawk, 3 Gray Catbirds, and Tree, Barn, and Northern Rough-winged Swallows.
Over at the Regency Boulevard retention ponds, I saw a Double-crested Cormorant, 2 Green Herons, 2 Great Blue Herons, a Chimney Swift, and 2 Bank Swallows.
