After finding 48 Killdeer and 5 Least Sandpipers at the West Gremar retention pond in the late afternoon, I continued over to the Regency Boulevard retention ponds where the pair of Blue-winged Teal, the Ruddy Duck, and the Pied-billed Grebe continued in the north pond.
The Hooded Merganser continued in the south pond.
Five Least Sandpipers were feeding along the edge of the north pond.
Several Chimney Swifts zipped around over the ponds. I was lucky to get a few photos of one of them showing the spines on the tail that helps support them in the chimney similar to the way a woodpecker's tail does on a tree trunk.
