Lingering shorebirds at Green Pond ~ June 1, 2022
This afternoon's stop at Green Pond yielded two species that have normally headed north by now----Solitary Sandpiper and Lesser Yellowlegs. There was a Solitary on each side of the road and a Lesser Yellowlegs at 'the island'.
Other birds seen there included the continuing Double-crested Cormorant, Great Blue and Green Heron, and Baltimore Oriole.
