I spent the better part of the morning at East Bangor Dam. The best birds of the day were two Virginia Rails that occasionally called and eventually showed themselves in gaps in the vegetation.
Other birds seen there included Wood Duck, Double-crested Cormorant, Osprey, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Swamp Sparrow, Palm and Yellow-rumped Warbler, and my first Black-and-white Warbler of the year.
In the early evening, I stopped at Green Pond. Notables there included 4 Pectoral Sandpipers, 3 Spotted Sandpipers, a solitary Solitary Sandpiper, 3 Greater and one Lesser Yellowlegs, Palm and Yellow-rumped Warbler, my first Yellow Warbler, and a male Rusty Blackbird.
The adult Black-crowned Night-Heron spotted by Adam Miller in the morning was still present there at dusk.
