The exposed rocky area below the Lehigh River dam and the icy edges along the Delaware have been producing a good number of gulls at the Forks of the Delaware in Easton. I walked up and saw hundreds of Ring-billed Gulls and a good number of Herring Gulls there. Scanning with the scope turned up a second-winter Iceland Gull floating on the river, which then flew around and put on a nice show before landing on a rock to preen.
A Great Black-backed Gull was also there among a few Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
On the far shore of the river, a Greater Scaup was diving in the vicinity of six Buffleheads.
