I spent the better part of the day birding along the way back towards Point Pelee National Park in Ontario. At a pond beside I-75 north of Bay City, I saw my first Canvasback and Greater Scaup.
I eventually reached Point Pelee where I found a Sanderling running along the East Point Beach.

On the way back across New York, I stopped at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge where my only new species was a Philadelphia Vireo.
I returned home, seeing 24 life birds during the trip.
