Waxwings and Robins Invade the Yard ~ January 16, 2014

This afternoon, it was fun to watch as the yard was being invaded by about a hundred Robins while, at the same time, around 30 Cedar Waxwings descended into the Crabapple and Mulberry trees. Many of them took turns getting a drink from the waterfall at my tiny pond, which has lately attracted Bluebirds and a Hermit Thrush among the usual winter suspects. Lugging all those rocks into place has been well worth it. I was able to get a few satisfying photos of them through the window.
